On the meeting of President of Abkhazia with representatives of the opposition

During the meeting there were discussed socio-political situation in the country and ways out of the current situation.

Sukhum. January 12. Apsnypress. There were held negotiations between President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khadzhimba and opposition representatives Alkhas Kvitsiniya and Aslan Bzhaniya at the official residence of President under the mediation of Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Rashid Nurgaliyev.
 
 The meeting was attended by Vice President Aslan Bartsits and Secretary of Security Council of the Republic of Abkhazia Mohamed Kilba.
 
 During the meeting there were discussed socio-political situation in the country and ways out of the current situation.
 
 The head of state emphasized that the parties should act within the framework of the legal framework, first of all, in order to achieve a national agreement, to prevent clashes. In this regard, prior to the re-election and inauguration of the newly elected President, it is necessary to follow the provisions of the Law "On the President of the Republic of Abkhazia."  
 
Opposition leaders expressed concern about the current situation and the possibility of developments in an uncontrolled channel. 

   Rashid Nurgaliyev called on the parties to use all opportunities for a peaceful settlement of the situation.
