One of the main tasks of the leadership - the union of society without regard to political views - Khadjimba

Moscow. April 17. Apsnypress. The event was organized by the Moscow Abkhaz diaspora with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Russian Federation. 

Opening the meeting the head of the Moscow Abkhaz diaspora Beslan Agrba, expressed the hope that the leadership of the state will use the potential of diaspora living outside Abkhazia. "Young people who are studying and working and adult generation are those people who are always loyal to their country, and they could and should contribute to the development of the state", - he said. 

At the beginning of his speech, Khadjimba said that he sees the main goal of the union of society without regard to political views. The President spoke about the processes occurring in Abkhazia, on the socio-economic situation in the country. "We are working to create the foundations of our economy, our own budget is still little more than three billion. I tasked the government to increase several times its own budget revenues. Important for us to be able to raise wages of citizens of Abkhazia on our own", - said the head of state. 

The Head of State is concerned that in the country still occur corruption schemes. "This is a big problem for small Abkhazia. We do not hide. And we are doing everything possible to remedy this situation", - said the President. He also touched upon the Abkhaz-Russian border and concerns of society regarding facilitate its crossing. "Today we have a very close and friendly relations with Russia, and we should not be afraid of opening the border. Our state does not cease to exist".  

During the meeting were asked a lot of questions. In general, people were interested in the theme of socio-economic development, investment climate in the country, creating conditions for the return of young cadres home, contacts with the Diaspora, the development of the Abkhaz language. Young people asked the President to assess the events of May of the last year, interested in the process of constitutional reforms. 

"The issue of constitutional reforms is one of the most important for us. We do not deny their preparedness. By my instruction was created a commission on constitutional reforms and the work goes actively, we are preparing a change in the law, and one of the first steps will be granting local governments greater range of powers", - said Khadjimba. The President also talked about creating opportunities for investment in Abkhazia. "We need to create a favorable climate for investors, tidy anti-corruption legislation. But  the most important investments for us are our own citizens, our Abkhazians living abroad. We have created a platform - a working group consisting of representatives of our diaspora, big businessmen who develop their proposals on issues of our cooperation", - he added. 

At the end of the meeting the President expressed the hope that the young professionals who are studying abroad will return home.
