Opera "Medea" will be performed on the ruins of the ancient Dioscuria

Teleconference with the opera diva Hibla Gerzmava and director Alexander Titel was held at the site of a multimedia press center of Sputnik Abkhazia.

Sukhum. July 14. Apsnypress. . Irena Dzhopua.  On the eve of the jubilee 15th festival "Hibla Gerzmava invites ...", which will be held on 3 and 4 August in Sukhum, Hibla Gerzmava and Alexander Titel answered questions from reporters via teleconference.
 
 Speaking about the festival, Hibla Gerzmava noted that "it has grown and expanded its geography", but the festival was born, lives and will continue to live in Abkhazia. She noted that, according to tradition, the festival will consist of two evenings: classical and jazz music. Opera diva stressed that this year for the first time the festival will be brought entirely performance. "At the very beginning of our festival, we have brought the play. It was the operetta "Die Fledermaus". We played it with a splash of Abkhaz text, which gives it a special piquancy. But we bring for the first time such a large-scale performance with the participation of almost all the actors of the theater of Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko with the orchestra. I have long thought what to do for an anniversary. Such a beautiful anniversary - 15 years. And decided that the Moscow theater will come with the play, and it will be very impressive", - said Gerzmava.
 
 Alexander Titel said in turn: "This party is written for a very strong soprano, Hibla has the other repertoire, but over the years her voice has became lower, and she is able to sing it now. It's a wonderful role, which requires full mastery of the actress vocal and dramatic. I am happy that Hibla could handle it and she was awarded the "Golden Mask" for the role". He also noted that at first, they decided to bring the "Medea" in Abkhazia, they wanted to make it simple concert version. "But Hibla wanted to bring it in such a way as it played in the theater of Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko. The only difference in Abkhazia it will take place in the open area and the background will be the very Black Sea, through which walked the Argonauts in their campaigns for the Golden Fleece", - said Titel.
 
 Minister of Culture and Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage Elvira Arsaliyev stressed that the festival "Hibla Gerzmava invites ..." is phenomenon in the cultural life of Abkhazia, which brings together more people.
 
 "The festival has grown in 15 years in a whole generation of sophisticated audience in Abkhazia, because thanks to it stars come to the republic annually, who are applauded at the best concert halls in the world", - said Arsaliya.
 
XV Festival "Hibla Gerzmava invites ..." will be held on 3 and 4 August in Sukhum, at the State Historical and Cultural Reserve "Sukhum Fortress".
