Opportunities and challenges of the summer tourist season in 2017 were discussed by the hoteliers of Abkhazia

The Guild of hoteliers of Abkhazia discussed the prospects for the summer tourist season of 2017.

Sukhum. March 23. Apsnypress. Dmitry Basariya. The meeting of representatives of the Guild of hoteliers of Abkhazia at the CCI of RA discussed the topic "Opportunities and challenges of the tourist season of the summer 2017".
 
 Thus, in particular, the issue of employment caused a separate discussion. For example, the director of the SVK hotel Vitaly Smyr offered to employ to the objects of tourism business the citizens of Abkhazia  in order to reduce unemployment in the country. "I understand that hiring a guest worker the employer receives cheap labor. But we need to think about the well-being of our fellow citizens " he said.
 
 At the same time, Igor Zhigun, the president of the Guild of Hoteliers, informed that soon a new section "Staff" will appear on the official website of the Hoteliers Guild, where the track record of employees of hotels and restaurants will be published: "This is necessary to obtain a description of the potential employee. Also, it will be useful when exchanging staff for the season between hotels. However, it is necessary first to think over the mechanism of exchange so that it does not turn into an outflow of personnel".
 
 Zhigun also suggested to organize training seminars for managers and administrators of hotels and restaurants in Abkhazia with the involvement of Russian specialists.
 
 For her part, the director of the Atrium Victoria Hotel Irina Zarkua suggested to organize a presentation of Abkhazian national cuisine with music and dance accompaniment in the hotels: "Often clients want to try Abkhazian national cuisine, and we have to send them to apatsha, where the level of service leaves much to be desired. Thus, they have unpleasant associations with the Abkhazian cuisine".
