Parliamentarians discuss a bill on supporting small and medium-sized businesses

The draft law "On state support of small and medium business" was adopted in 1 reading.

Sukhum. July 26 Apsnypress. At the session of the People's Assembly of Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia, parliamentarians discussed the bill "On state support of small and medium-sized businesses".
 
 Introducing the draft law, Dmitry Shamba, President's representative in the Parliament explained: "The draft law regulates the legal relations that arise in the interaction between government bodies, legal entities and individuals in support and development of small and medium-sized businesses by the state. The legislation of the Republic of Abkhazia gives a legal definition of small and medium-sized businesses. "
 
 At the same time, Shamba explained that previously the legislation did not contain legal criteria for classifying entrepreneurs as small or medium-sized businesses. "The draft law provides for the authorized body of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Abkhazia to maintain the Register of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises. It is planned to develop both republican and local short-term programs to support small and medium-sized businesses from 1 year and long-term - up to 3 years. At the same time, the bill includes the norm, according to which financing at least 3% will be fixed in the Republican and local budgets to support small and medium-sized business programs, " - said Dmitry Shamba.
