Parliamentarians discussed the development of the banking system

A meeting of relevant committee was held in the National Assembly of Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia.

Sukhum. July 9. Apsnypress. The Parliament held an expanded meeting of the Committee on budget, credit organizations, taxes and finances, which discussed the development of the country's banking system in the context of a pandemic caused by coronavirus infection.

The meeting, chaired by Natalie Smyr, was attended by Speaker Valery Kvarchiya, deputies of the Parliament, representative of President in the Parliament Saida Butba, deputy head of the Presidential Administration Jansukh Nanba, chairman of the National Bank Beslan Barateliya, representatives of commercial banks.

First of all, parliamentarians drew attention to protection of the interests of citizen-depositors of banks. Also, the meeting participants discussed the current state of the banking sector, problems and shortcomings, the possibilities of expanding the lending potential, and the development of relevant legislation of the Republic of Abkhazia.
