Parliamentarians held an emergency meeting

The Parliament discussed health deсline of Aslan Bzhaniya.

Sukhum. March 2. Apsnypress. Members of National Assembly of Parliament gathered for an emergency meeting to discuss the state of health of candidate for President of the Republic of Abkhazia, Deputy of the Parliament Aslan Bzhaniya and the situation at the election campaign sites.  

  Speaker Valery Kvarchiya provided the latest information: “Aslan Bzhaniya arrived yesterday from Moscow to Sochi and was about to leave for Abkhazia. During the time that he was on the territory of the Russian Federation, he felt good. His condition worsened sharply when he crossed the Abkhaz border. It was decided to hospitalize him in Sochi hospital. A preliminary diagnosis is a stroke. At the time of admission, blood pressure: 50/20. Doctors introduced him into a medical coma. Further, Aslan Georgievich was sent to Krasnodar. "  

 Kvarchia said that parliamentarians should approve a commission of 4 people: "We need to monitor the state of health, find out what is the reason, in what condition ... and much more."  

   At the same time, chairman of the Committee on Social Policy, Labor, Health Care, Demography and the Affairs of War Veterans and Disabled Persons Alkhas Dzhindzholiya informed: “As a doctor, I want to say that our Ministry of Health is in touch with Russian doctors, all data is evaluated and monitored.”  

   Dzhindzholiya noted that sometimes an excessive desire to receive information interferes and creates confusion: “Do not get me wrong, of course, you need to go and send Tamaz Tsakhnakiya or the one he will single out. All this had to be done for the first time, when Aslan Bzhaniya became ill. I have repeatedly voiced a proposal to create a structure that would track the medical histories of the country's top leadership. As a deputy and head of one of the headquarters, I want to say that we are all frightened and annoyed by the lack of information. But the main thing is to prevent misinterpretation regarding the ongoing processes, we need openness and reliability of information. Maybe the conclusions will not be what we expect. In medical activity, conclusions can be completely unpredictable. Let's all not get ahead of ourselves and rush to conclusions. ”  

   Following the meeting, parliamentarians decided to postpone the creation of a parliamentary commission on Tuesday, March 3.
