President: Abkhazia's legislation prohibits the sale of property to foreign nationals, and this rule has not been canceled

Statement by the President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khadjimba.

Sukhum. April 20. Apsnypress. "Different approaches to the question of the sale of property to foreign nationals have been discussed  in our society for a long time".
 
 By well-known historical reasons, this question is rather broad sound and attracts increased interest of our citizens.
 
 There are objective concerns and challenges that need to be answered before taking any decision. Thus, the question needs a calm professional approach that will take full account of our national interests.
 
 Recently, however, the question deliberately politicized and brought to the level of overflowing. I want to stress that there is no reason for these steps.
 
 Currently, the law prohibits the sale of Abkhazia's housing to foreign nationals, and this rule has not been canceled. Thus, do not understand the question of the moratorium on the sale of property to foreign nationals, as there is no legislation, which removes the ban.
 
 The leadership of Abkhazia strictly adheres to existing laws and consider unacceptable the attempts of blackmail and political speculation, which has recently been taken.
 
 I want to assure our citizens that there will be no hasty, ill-conceived and even more hidden from the public decisions taken. Artificial injection of volatility creates additional problems for our country. And I hope that activists and organizers of such events will be able to realize that such actions lead us to the opposite side of the building process and strengthening of the state" .
