President about volunteers: together with you we have won freedom

Sukhum. August 15. Apsnypress. For the meeting in Abkhazia war veterans-volunteers gathered from many regions of Russia: from Adygeya, South and North Ossetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Chechnya, the southern regions of Russia. 

Meeting guests RA President Raul Khadjimba said: "I hope that all the hardships of war, we've passed together, stayed behind. But the people of Abkhazia have much to do to get away from the heavy legacy of war generated. And I have no doubt that in this case we will be back with you together". According to him, the goal of all recent trips to the regions of Russia, all the meetings - are not about to remind myself, but fasten friendly relations and again "become a common family".

Khadjimba said: "Together we have won freedom. Today, this heavy date is the beginning of the war, we must remember that it was August 14 that marked the beginning of a victorious march to September 30 - the Day of Victory! We bow before the memory of all those guys who have laid down their heads, protecting Abkhazia! We are proud of you, those who were close to us in the most difficult moments! I am proud to be a contemporary of the people who build new relationships, led by you, veterans and our first President Vladislav Ardzinba! " 

The Head of State stressed: "Abkhazia is not in the easiest conditions to build a state. But we prove that we can live and work. And if we can make all the plans, there will be the country for which you fought, and heroes laid down their heads! For the sake of future generations! " 

For his part, the chairman of Union of Veterans of the Confederation of Mountain Peoples of the Caucasus Musa Shanibov told about the early days of the war, about how volunteers from the North Caucasus came to the aid of the Abkhaz people, the situation of the postwar years. He said: "You know best what Abkhazia needs. I wish you and your team success! Together - we are eternal, apart - are doomed! "Turning to the volunteers Musa Shanibov said:" You were the last knights of terrible, inhuman twentieth century! We won because we did not late! " 

In memory of those killed in the war, shared memories of the first battles RA Defense Minister Mirab Kishmariya and Secretary of the Security Council Mohamed Kilba. In particular, he stressed: "The elation that was presented then must be now in solving contemporary problems. I have no doubt that Abkhazia will eventually become lighter and warmer".  

Concluding the meeting with the veterans, Raul Khadjimba said, "You are always welcomed here. You are our brothers! Here's your house, it is a land for which you have shed blood. And we are just as ready to stand beside you if necessary. God grant us to live under a peaceful sky!"
