President: all citizens of the republic have to take part in the country's withdrawal from a difficult situation

There is a meeting of the session of the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia at the moment, during which President of the Republic of Abkhazia has appealed with the annual address to the people's deputies.

President noted that during the years of its existence, our young republic managed to achieve a lot, but now she is in a difficult situation, which is affected by external factors like the global crisis, and the consequences of wrong policies pursued by the country in recent years.

President said that all the citizens of the republic have to participate in the country's withdrawal from a difficult situation. "To save the country's development we should all make efforts. We must learn to live within our means, to use the resources correctly. Saving the country - is also the respect for people. Abkhazia should develop intensively. Without the economic basis, the sovereignty loses the content", - said Raul Khadjimba.

In his opening remarks, President emphasized that transparency is important for development. "The public needs to know not only where the money is spent, but also how vital decisions for the country are made. I decided to create the Political Consultative Council", - said Khadjimba. He noted that this structure will include all the political forces of Abkhazia.

"As President, I promise the country that proposals produced by the Council will take into account as much as possible in the formulation and implementation of public policies in various fields", - assured the head of state.
