President congratulated the world freestyle wrestling champion Aslanbek Gvaramia

Sukhum. September 7. Apsnypress. In the weight category up to 76 kg Abkhaz sportsman, Aslanbek Gvaramia, who represented the Russian national team, won a victory over the Bulgarian wrestler Ivan Stefanov and won the world title in freestyle wrestling in his weight category. 

Chairman of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sport Bagrat Hutaba noted the importance of the participation of the Abkhaz athletes at such major sporting venues and thanked the President for his support: "Our dream has come true! There is a leader who supports the sports and do everything for it ", - said Hutaba. 

President Raul Khadjimba said: "It is important for us that young people are involved to a greater extent in the development of physical culture and sports. Today there are win fights, loud sporting successes. And we, in turn, will do everything to resolve quickly and efficiently tasks that contribute to the development of this trend. Despite all the difficulties, we will support the sport! Our country is sufficiently well known in martial arts, Abkhazia has always been famous with big names", - said the President. 

For hiss part, Aslanbek Gvaramia spoke about the world championship and his fight on its site: "The final battle was not very hard for me  because I won with a score 10: 0. First, I worried, of course, but when scored six points, there came a confidence in my own abilities. And I won the fight ahead". 

According Aslanbek now he trains in Moscow sports club CSKA. And, of course, he does not intend to stop there. The highest reward for any athlete - is the Olympic gold and the athlete sets out to win it. "This path is very difficult. But I will train hard and go to the goal",- said Aslanbek Gvaramia. 

World freestyle, female and Greco-Roman wrestling Championship was held in Sarajevo from 25 to 30 August.   

In the weight category up to 76 kg Abkhaz sportsman, Aslanbek Gvaramia, representing the Russian national team, won over the Bulgarian wrestler Ivan Stefanov and won the world title in this weight category.
