Sukhum. April 18. Apsnypress. President-elect of the Republic of Abkhazia, Aslan Bzhaniya, congratulated the Orthodox of Abkhazia on the upcoming holiday of the Resurrection of Christ - Easter.

“This greatest holiday symbolizes the value of human life, strengthens faith in goodness and justice. On these bright holidays, the hearts of believers are filled with love for others, a sincere desire to do charitable deeds.

Easter for our people at all times was one of the most beloved and revered. On this spring holiday, we went to visit each other, exchanged good wishes, many attended Orthodox churches. Unfortunately, this year, due to the pandemic of a dangerous virus that has spread throughout the world, we are forced to make changes in our usual way of life, ” the congratulation says.

Aslan Bzhaniya addressed his compatriots: “Dear compatriots!

I urge you to listen to the recommendations of epidemiologists, stay at home, refrain from visiting churches, relatives, friends. I am sure we will stand with dignity this test which limits us in communicating with loved ones. As a believer, I have no doubt that our prayers will be answered by the Almighty.

Dear friends! I wish you health, peace and prosperity to your families. May the Lord protect our beloved Abkhazia!
