President harshly condemned the illegal acts against the historical and cultural heritage

President Raul Khadjimba received the Minister of Culture and Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage Elvira Arsaliya.

Sukhum. January 18. Apsnypress. Elvira Arsaliya reported on the fact of illegal demolition of the building on Pushkin street in Gudauta,  a monument of historical and cultural heritage. The Minister expressed her outrage that in the first days of the new year, two weeks after the approval of the President of the State list of historical and cultural heritage of the Republic of Abkhazia was vandalized a significant architectural monument. Elvira Arsaliyev informed the President that the ministry of culture and protection of historical and cultural heritage is preparing an appeal to the Prosecutor General for the purpose of criminal proceedings against offenders.
 
 President harshly condemn such illegal acts against the historical and cultural heritage under the state protection. Raul Khadjimba said he gave appropriate instructions to the Prosecutor General.
 
 The head of state instructed to prepare a meeting with the heads of administrations of towns and districts of the republic to strengthen and coordinate activities for the protection of historical and cultural heritage.
