President: it is necessary to create the conditions for voting in peaceful socio-political environment

Security Council meeting devoted to ensure the necessary measures for the implementation of the referendum scheduled for July 10, 2016, chaired by President Raul Khadjimba.

Sukhum. June 16. Apsnypress. The President drew the attention of the permanent Security Council members on the need to create conditions for voting in a peaceful socio-political situation and exclusively within the framework of the current legislation.
 
 The Security Council members heard a briefing by the Minister of Internal Affairs Leonid Dzapshba on the implementation of orders of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia on the exchange of passports whose validity have expired.
 
 The Head of State stressed the need to ensure all citizens who wish to take part in the referendum with valid documents.
 
 Raul Khadjimba expressed confidence that the decision taken by the National Assembly of the Parliament on the introduction of the institute of observers will increase the trust of citizens in the referendum.
