The new, 2017, year will come in few minutes.
 
The past year was not easy, but thanks to the joint efforts of all our people it ends favorably.
 
In spite of the objective economic and financial difficulties we have managed to become stronger and more confident in the future.
 
We have fulfilled all social obligations, and continue to pay close attention to the social support of citizens.
 
Developed our relations and contacts with countries that have recognized the independence of Abkhazia and of course, first and foremost, the Abkhaz-Russian allied relations.
 
Not without difficulties, but continued reforms in many spheres of life. And we need to bring these reforms to the end for the benefit of every citizen of our country.
 
2016 gave a lot of happy events. One of the most striking - the victory of the national team of Abkhazia at the World Football Championship CONIFA. It has become a real holiday for all of us.
 
At such moments, we fully feel the solidarity, conscious as a nation - strong and invincible. United - in respect to our country and to each other.
 
This is our strength - in the ability to hear, understand and respect each other. There are no such issues in domestic policy, in which it is impossible to conduct a civilized dialogue and negotiate. And in the past year we all have once again demonstrated this ability.
 
What new 2017 will be depends only on us. May it be filled with light and joyful events, that multiply the power of the state and welfare of our people.
