President of Abkhazia congratulated the new UN Secretary-General

President of Abkhazia Raul Khadjimba congratulated the new United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.

 "Your Excellency, Mr. Guterres!
 
 Witnessing his high respect for you, I would like to extend my sincere congratulations on your appointment as the UN Secretary General.
 
 Your reputation and political experience, deep knowledge of the aspects of human development, sincere approach and professional attitude to the solution of the most acute and sensitive issues on the international agenda, of course, will provide the best guarantee of success for such an important and responsible position.
 
 The Abkhaz people achieved freedom and independence by a great price, is interested in the establishment of world order, in which everyone's voice would be heard and taken into account.
 
 Unfortunately, the policy of isolation of Abkhazia from the outside world, pursued by Georgia and its allies, not only leads to massive violations of the rights of our citizens, but also has a negative impact on the prospects for the normalization of bilateral relations in the South Caucasus region.
 
 The United Nations was created as a unique forum with universal legitimacy, to serve as a broad platform for dialogue to resolve the contradictions in the international development and relations between peoples and states. We very much hope that the representatives of the Republic of Abkhazia, a state recognized by the UN member states, will be given an international platform for expressing an opinion on matters directly affecting the interests of our multinational people.
