President of Nauru: I want to see Abkhazia as our best friend

President of the Republic of Nauru Baron Divavesi Vaca is on a working visit to the Republic of Abkhazia.

Sukhum. November 12. Apsnypress. RA President Raul Khajimba met with President of Nauru Baron Divavesi Vaca, who arrived in Abkhazia on a working visit. 

 Welcoming President of Nauru, Raul Khajimba stressed: "Relations between Nauru and Abkhazia began to develop in 2009, after the establishment of diplomatic relations that allowed us to build our cooperation in the spirit of friendship and business partnership. During this period, there were several working visits of the delegations of the Republic of Nauru to the Republic of Abkhazia. And today there is an opportunity to talk about those areas of bilateral cooperation, which are developing most intensively. " At the same time Raul Khajimba expressed regret that the visit of President Nauru is very short. "I think that during your next visit there will be more time and you will be able to see the sights of Abkhazia and get acquainted with our people," - the President of Abkhazia noted.
 
 For his part, President of Nauru thanked for the warm words and assured that Nauru is still committed to the principle of developing warm, friendly relations with Abkhazia. "We are closely following all the events that are taking place in Abkhazia. We are ready to support all initiatives and ideas that are aimed at the development of the country. All the challenges faced by Abkhazia are typical not only for our countries, but also for many others, as well as for the entire Pacific region. I am sure that solving common problems will lead to the improvement of our relations and will create additional opportunities for participation in global processes. For example, global climate change is a very acute issue for us. I believe that this is a serious problem for you today. I share the optimism with which Abkhazia is looking to the future today, and I am sincerely sure that soon we will see the resurrected Abkhazia. I want to see your country as our best friend in this part of the world. I want to assure that the people of Nauru know Abkhazia well and know you, first of all, as a friend of Nauru. You have a sincere friend in our face. I am confident that we will have the opportunity to learn from you a lot. We want our friendship lasts forever, " - said Baron Divavesi Vaca. 

 Summing up the meeting, Raul Khajimba said: "Everything that has been done in previous years and the last agreement signed in September 2016 is aimed at ensuring that bilateral relations developing. These relations are important for us, and we express our gratitude to you for the support you are giving."
