President on crime against the repatriates: we all must strongly condemn what happened

<b>Sukhum. July 31. Apsnypress. </b>The Cabinet of Ministers of Abkhazia held a meeting with the public, they discussed the problems of repatriates and, in particular, the case of an attack on a business of repatriates. <br>

 Opening the meeting, Minister for Repatriation Beslan Dbar said: "Our country has many problems, one of them is the question of returning our brothers to the historic homeland. Over the past 25 years, much has been done by the state in this direction. But the realities of the modern world require an integrated approach to solving this problem. "<br>

   Dbar stressed the importance of diaspora's participation in construction of the state: "Lately, it has often been said that Abkhazia is a small country, Abkhazians are few and without much help, we have little to do. Yes, there are few Abkhazians in the historical Motherland. But why do we forget about the large diaspora? Why not declare it loudly and do not look for a way of re-emigration? At the same time, the issue of state importance and national security began to be discussed in the society in unpleasant tones. Why do we sometimes fail to realize that the construction of our state requires the resource and potential of our diaspora? It's not for nothing that Vladislav Ardzinba stressed: we will not build a full-fledged state without participation of diaspora. We need to understand and accept the returnees, as our compatriots, and treat them with respect. Soon we will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the victory and independence of the country. But, how far have we analyzed the path that we have covered in a quarter of a century? What did achieve and where were the shortcomings? And finally, how far did the Diaspora work during this time? We do not have the right to neglect the resources of our diaspora. Representatives of our diaspora participate in all spheres of the life of the state. They are deputies of the Parliament, well-known businessmen, including those who have made great efforts in the field of agriculture. Our duty is to treat these people carefully and respectfully. "<br>

 For his part, the Head of State stressed that when the war started, our brothers from Turkey came, were wounded and died here. <br>

 Raul Khajimba expressed his attitude to the incident with the returnees: "We all must show unity, we must condemn what happened. The work of law enforcement bodies should be supported by the public. Where were the public associations, parties, intellectuals? Everyone was silent, thinking that everything would be resolved by itself. But everyone needs to know that this case will not be resolved otherwise, and all those who were involved in the attack will be responsible. Our brothers kept their customs and preserved their language. They managed to do this without any support from government agencies. This is their land, their homeland! "- said President. <br>

 Chairman of the Council of Elders of Abkhazia Apollo Shinkuba addressed the appeal on behalf of all the elders of the districts: "The incident that has occurred makes us all think. Everyone who is to blame must receive what they deserve. Law enforcement authorities need to deal with this matter as quickly as possible and find all those responsible. And henceforth, cases of negative, disrespectful treatment of our brothers should never take place. "<br>

 Following the meeting there was accepted an appeal. The document, in particular, says: "In the construction of an independent Abkhaz state, the main task is to unite the people. A special priority is the work on the return of repatriates to their historical homeland. Taking into account that wherever our compatriots were, their homeland is Abkhazia, their native language is Abkhazian, our historical path and culture are the same, we consider it necessary: ​​<br>

 1.  To strengthen our relations with compatriots, to involve the foreign diaspora in participating in the social, economic, life of the country. This work should receive a lot of attention from all state structures and departments. <br>

 2. Put an end to the unlawful attitude, humiliation of our compatriots. And those people who commit such atrocities, consider opponents of state interests.  <br>
 <br>
 3. "To pay special attention of law enforcement agencies to the recent crime against Turkish compatriots." <br>
   <br>
4. In accordance with position of the RA President Raul Khajimba, to pay great attention to strengthening relations with the foreign diaspora on the part of the country's leadership. "
