President: Political Advisory Council is not intended to replace the Parliament or the Public Chamber

President Raul Khadjimba met with leaders of political parties and public organizations to discuss issues related to the organization of the work of the Political Consultative Council under the President of the Republic of Abkhazia.

It was discussed the personal composition of the Council, which will be approved by the Decree of the President, as well as offering a number of participants of the meeting about the possibility of revision of the Regulations on Political Consultative Conference in order to increase efficiency and maximize the representativeness of the consultative and advisory body.
 
 "The Political Advisory Council is not intended to replace the Parliament or the Public Chamber. The main is to ensure effective and regular interaction of bodies of state power with political parties and public associations. This feedback mechanism will facilitate the adoption of better and more based on public consent decisions", - the President noted.
 
 The President once again expressed regret over the reluctance of a number of opposition groups to participate in a constructive discussion on issues of national importance. "To participate or not - it is a question of responsibility of each of the political forces. I repeat that the Council's doors are not closed to those who, at this stage refuses to join it ", - said Raul Khadjimba.
 
In the near future the President will sign a decree approving the personal composition of the Political Advisory Council, after which will be held the first meeting of this consultative and advisory body.
