RA President Raul Khadjimba and historian İlber Ortaylı discussed the possibilities of bilateral cooperation in humanitarian sphere.

During the meeting, the Turkish professor, historian İlber Ortaylı said he was happy forty years later to be again in the Caucasus. He stressed that the Abkhazians have always occupied an important place in the history and culture of Turkey. İlber Ortaylı said that he would like to establish contacts with the Abkhaz State University. In addition, according to the historian, there is an opportunity to invite students from Abkhazia to summer school.
