President received representatives of the council of elders of Ochamchira district

They discussed issues of formation and operation of the Council of Elders, and increase its value in the social life of the country.

Sukhum. April 21. Apsnypress. President Raul Khadjimba received representatives of the Council of Elders of Ochamchira District - Apollo Dumava Chairman of the Board, as well as Constantine Parulua, Huhut Shamba, Raul Bganba, Mirod Khashba and Igor Gurgulia.  
 During the meeting issues of formation and operation of the Council of Elders, increase its value in the social life of the country.
 
 Participants of the meeting expressed concern about the tense in socio-political situation in connection with the initiative to hold a referendum.
 
  They exchanged views on the inclusion of representatives of the Council to the Public Chamber.
 
 They also discussed problems and prospects of development of the Abkhazian language.
 
Council of Elders stressed the need to accelerate completion of the formation of the Constitutional Court, which would be entitled to give a legal assessment of the most important events and processes in the country.
 
President stressed that the opinion of the representatives of the Council of Elders on significant issues should be heard by citizens.
 
 The meeting was also attended by Advisor to President Vladimir Zantariya.
