President: we are obliged to do everything for the parents, wives and children of fallen soldiers

President Raul Khadjimba in the New Year's Eve received the representatives of the Movement "Mothers of Abkhazia for peace and social justice".

Opening the meeting, the President said: "I am proud that we have such mothers, who did not spare themselves or sons who sacrificed their lives for Abkhazia to continue to live. I am proud that there is understanding of the need for change, there is a willingness to stand with us in all complex processes. Undoubtedly, we will eventually construct a state which wanted your sons".

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Movement from different parts of the country, they told the President about the most exciting issues and problems they face.

«There has no much time passed after the war, we have not yet passed the psychological rehabilitation. We hope that you will be able to unite our people, and we will support you in this. We have some requests set in a written form", - said chairman of the Movement" Mothers of Abkhazia for peace and social justice" Guli Kichba.

Zina Paptsava - Chairman of the Movement of Mothers of Pitsunda, said that they have already long wanted to renovate the Museum of Military Glory.

The meeting touched on drug benefits, allocation of real estate, help for widows and children of those killed in the war.

Khadjimba listened to the mothers' requests and promised that they would not be ignored.

«We must do everything for the parents, wives and children of fallen soldiers. We need more and more strengthen these processes and to work in this direction quite active", - said Khadjimba. Separately, he highlighted the issue of property for war invalids and families of the victims.

"All the heads of administrations were instructed to find an opportunity and start to solve this problem. It is unlikely that we will be able to build new homes. But we found several dozen apartments in Gagra, which will be provided to our veterans, the same pattern in Sukhum. During the year we repaired the abandoned houses, some apartments we will give to immigrants, and some - to veterans and disabled veterans of the war", - said Khadjimba.
