President: Youth policy should bring people together

Sukhum. July 15. Apsnypress. Chairman of the State Committee Alias ​​Avidzba emphasized that the President's decision to create a separate department for youth policy has once again confirmed his serious attitude to this issue. He told Raul Khadjimba about the progress of work since the establishment of the Committee, future plans and projects, the official website of the President. 

During the meeting were discussed issues of an integrated approach to the implementation of the state youth policy, including the possibility of revising the relationship of the central office and regional departments of the State Committee on Youth and Sports. Participants of the meeting also touched on the possibility of recreating the Council on Youth Policy under the President, it was asked to submit to Parliament a bill to ban the sale of alcohol and tobacco products to persons under 18 years and a number of other issues. 

Raul Khadjimba said that it is important to involve youth in the process of nation-building. "Youth policy should unite people, not vice versa", - he said. The head of state supported the establishment of the Council for Youth Policy and stressed that it could become a platform for discussion and solution of many problems.    

The President praised the work of the State Committee for strategic development of youth policy, which is conducted in close collaboration with the Center for Strategic Studies.
