Presidential Administration developed a draft decree providing the establishment of a visa-free regime for certain categories of foreign citizens

President Raul Khadjimba held a working meeting on the issues related to the establishment of a visa-free entry to Abkhazia for certain categories of foreign citizens.

Sukhum. June 30. Apsnypress. Draft Decree "On establishment visa-free entry into the Republic of Abkhazia for certain categories of foreign ctizens" was approved by the meeting participants.  
 
First Deputy Head of Presidential Administration Dmitry Shamba informed the meeting that in April the Act came into force, which gives the head of state the right to determine unilaterally the visa waiver regime in the Republic of Abkhazia of foreign nationals.
 
 "The Presidential Administration considered proposals for the establishment of a visa-free regime, represented by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, on Resorts and Tourism, Interior, State Security Service and the State Migration Service", - said Dmitry Shamba. He said that taking into account the proposals received, the Presidential Administration developed a draft decree, which provides the establishment of a visa-free regime for the following categories of foreign citizens:
 - Foreign-trippers citizens arriving to Abkhazia as part of an organized tour group for a period of not more than one day;
 - Citizens of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Kazakhstan, entering Abkhazia for tourist purposes for a period of not more than two weeks;
 - Foreign nationals who enter in order to eliminate accidents, carrying out repair and maintenance, commissioning work at the facilities of the power system for a period of not more than five days;
 - Foreign citizens arriving in Abkhazia and operating in the electricity generating facilities located on the territory of Gal district and Tkuarchal.
