Prime Minister Artur Mikvabia on a business trip for agricultural facilities of Gal, Ochamchira and Gulripsh Districts discussed the problems and prospects of development of horticultural crops with experts and heads of districts.
Sukhum. July 13. Apsnypress. Orchards in these areas were laid out in 2010 - 2012 years in accordance with the President's program for the development of agriculture and the "Comprehensive Plan to promote socio-economic development of RA 2010 - 2012 years".
In Gal district Arthur Mikvabia inspected garden plants, located on 28 hectares of land. There grow several varieties of citrus and fruit trees.
According to the management of garden plants, the state owes farm employees about 8 million rubles salary, because funding for the program was halted. Thus the fate of the company must be solved as soon as possible, after a couple of years seedlings already escalate and will not be available for sale and transplant.
"It is necessary to calculate the costs and together with the Institute we will decide what to do next", - summed up the inspection Mikvabiya.
In the village Achigvara of Ochamchira district experts inspected garden plantings. Here on the shores of Lake Bebesir on 156 hectares of land in 2012 laid the orchards, vineyards and hazel. For these works were spent 28 million rubles. Now 42 - 43 hectares grow fruit seedlings, vines died, hazel - in disrepair. The work is not carried out, the protection of the horticultural sector is removed. The state owes 1.8 million rubles. To restore the economy, according to its leaders, it will require further investment.
"First of all, it is necessary to calculate profitability: how much was invested, how much is required and what can we get in the end. We won't bury the money just like that. It is necessary to correctly understand the words: financial aid. This means that someone is doing, and others help him, "- said Arthur Mikvabia.
Other garden that impressed inspectors in the village Ilor. Here, on an area of 4 hectares are growing 10 thousand roots of apple trees imported from Italy and planted 3 years ago. The garden is well-groomed and have fruits. For its further development, according to the head Zaur Sołomko, they need 170 thousand rubles. According to Prime Minister, it is an example of the proper use of land.
In general, the opinions of experts on the further development of the situation with the program laid down by gardens ambiguous. While some require further investment and execution of the lease, others see the future of agricultural facilities in the large state-owned enterprises.
Concluding the visit, Arthur Mikvabia said: "There is a law. And we need to work in accordance with it, or if you can not, then give the business to other people. It is a state property. The money invested is important to use. Yes, it is necessary to subsidize agriculture. But if the resulting product is not for sale, the taxes are not paid, then for what do we need it?"
According to him, as a result of implementation of the program of development of agriculture in the country was laid in 1400 hectares of garden plants. And now if invest other 180 mln rubles required for the operation, the total investment is close to 1 billion rubles.
