Program to create a single brand of agricultural and Farmers' Union of Abkhazia

Sukhum. June 12. Apsnypress. "It is necessary to consider the organization of work in agriculture with the help of the state, to create a working group that will deal with these issues directly. Subsequently, agricultural projects are organized on the principle of public-private partnerships, since they will be repaid, should be transferred to the peasants themselves. This will involve the villagers in the process of agricultural development", - said Raul Khadjimba. 

Program organization of such work was presented by Presidential Adviser on the economy Amiran Lagvilava. According to him, the proposals made at the meeting - is the result of study and analysis of international experience, in particular, companies in Spain and Italy. "The greatest effect is the creation of a Union of farmers, united under a single brand", - said Amiran Lagvilava. 

It is about combining the first 100 farms of Abkhazia into a single Union. All that is needed from the peasants to participate in the Program is desire, noted Amiran Lagvilava. To promote it will be held special meetings and workshops. 

Further, in each sector, on a small plot of land of about 1000 square meters it is proposed to install greenhouses. Management company should guide the work, which will also be involved in agronomy, supply of seeds, seedlings, etc. In addition, management company will establishe distribution center, organizing sorting, packing and sales of finished products. This already have preliminary agreements with the Russian networkers. "We hope that after the implementation of the Programme, we will create a guaranteed demand and fill the domestic market of vegetable products and greens. This will be the core of Farmers Union which will combine many farmers of Abkhazia and which will be able to represent itself to the foreign networker as a serious partner", - said Lagvilava. 

The organizational form of the enterprise, according to the developers of programs, should be a public-private partnership. That is farmers will be asked to become owners of the Company and after entering the return in accordance with the mutual fund, they will be able to generate more revenue. With regard to the income of the farmer, one part of it will go to the repayment of the organization of the hothouse loan, and the other - will be owned by a farm. 

According to preliminary data, the cost of a greenhouse with delivery and installation will be about 900 thousand rubles, the price of the costs of greens growing - 160 thousand rubles, for vegetable products - 190 thousand rubles. "According to our calculations, 17 months after launching the project, each farmer will be able to fully pay off the state and then begin to work for themselves", - said Amiran Lagvilava. On the organization of work on the program it is supposed to use the funds of investment group, as well as those 400 mln rubles, which come to the republic from the Russian Federation as the subsidization of the economy. 

Also, at the suggestion of the Ministers of Agriculture and Economy, the Programme is necessary to provide the union into one existing rural infrastructure in the country: the vegetable store and garden plants. 

In conclusion of the meeting, Raul Khadjimba instructed to organize a working group which within 10 days will formulate their proposals in the document. "We talk a lot about what needs to be done in rural areas. But there are specifics. Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Economy will help us and together let's create the conditions so that the situation in the countryside will change. Without this we can not change the government's attitude to the peasants and vice versa", - stressed the President of Abkhazia Raul Khadjimba.
