Quarantine at the Ingur checkpoint, exploration and air traffic: President held a Security Council meeting

The meeting of the Security Council was held by President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khadzhimba.

Sukhum. January 31. Apsnypress. President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba held a meeting of the Security Council at which he discussed issues of domestic and foreign policy. The meeting was also attended by Minister of Health Tamaz Tsakhnakia, Minister of Economy Adgur Ardzinba, Chairman of the State Property Committee Vakhtang Pipia, Director of the Institute of Ecology of the Academy of Sciences Roman Dbar.
 
 Tamaz Tsakhnakiya reported to the Security Council on the situation with the spread of seasonal influenza virus and SARS, as well as on reported cases of H1N1 flu. He stressed that temporary restrictive measures on the introduction of a quarantine regime at the border along the Ingur River can not completely prevent the spread of the virus, however, this gives a significant result. At the same time, the Head of State called this measure a forced one, aimed at ensuring the safety of the population.
 
 In addition, Minister of Economy Adgur Ardzinba and Director of the Institute of Ecology Roman Dbar informed about the situation related to the exploration of hydrocarbon raw materials and ensuring environmental safety. The Minister of Economy noted that, according to the terms of the previously reached agreements, it is planned to carry out geological exploration, which requires a long time. It is premature to speak about the beginning of raw material extraction Director of the Institute of Ecology, Roman Dbar, said that the examination of the condition of wells suspended in Soviet times, which is carried out as part of the implementation of the agreements is necessary for environmental security.
 
 Chairman of the RA State Committee on State Property Management and Privatization, Vakhtang Pipia, informed about the measures taken by the Government in accordance with the instructions of President on resumption of air traffic. President commissioned a weekly report on the results of the work of working group chaired by Prime Minister. The head of state noted that the successful implementation of this project will be important for the development of the state.
 
 Also, at a meeting of the Security Council, Foreign Minister Daur Kove reported on the work carried out by the Office in Latin America and the Middle East.
