The Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia held a meeting with co-chairman of the Geneva discussions on security and stability in the South Caucasus, Mr. Herbert Salber.
Sukhum. June 23. Apsnypress. Commenting on the reaction of the participants of the negotiation process on the proposal by the co-chairs of the process to change topics for discussion on the agenda of the Geneva discussions, Mr. Salber, co-chairman of the European Union, said that the idea had met with disapproval on either side. He stressed that it had previously been already presented in Sukhum, Tskhinval, Tbilisi and Moscow.
Vyacheslav Chirikba, in turn, noted that despite the fact that the Abkhaz side has not yet expressed its final opinion on the matter, a platform for conflicts can create questions of any topics. For example, the Abkhaz delegation does not intend to discuss the issue of refugees.
The parties agreed to continue the exchange of views on the proposal of co-chairs during the upcoming meeting in Geneva.
