To honor the memory of the First President of Abkhazia to the memorial complex in village Eschera came President Raul Khadjimba, Prime Minister Artur Mikvabia, Speaker of the Parliament Valery Bganba, Russian Ambassador to Abkhazia Semyon Grigoryev, MPs, members of the public, secondary school students.
"It's hard to speak when you are here, where Vladislav was born and is now at rest. All he did in defense of our homeland is to be known for future generations. Name of Vladislav must be undoubtedly passed on by word of mouth, from memory to memory of the people. Vladislav - the leader and it will remain so forever. Name of Vladislav and the name of our state are inextricably linked. In this same spirit we must educate our children. Today Abkhazian people have got a lot to be proud of. We still have much to do, and a part of Vladislav is with us: his experience, his knowledge which are transmitted to us, it will help the country", - said the President of Abkhazia.
On May 14, 1945 was born Vladislav Ardzinba - an outstanding statesman and politician, founder of the modern Abkhazian state, a prominent scientist-orientalist, the First President of the Republic of Abkhazia.
According to his will Vladislav Grigorievich was buried in his native village Eschera, Sukhum district on the territory of the memorial complex in memory of the fallen soldiers at the front Gumista.
