President Raul Khadjimba received the Chairman of the Presidium of the All-Russian public movement "Russian Congress of Caucasian Peoples" (RKNK) Aliy Totorkulov.

Sukhum. November 16. Apsnypress. The meeting focused on the strengthening of good-neighborly relations between Abkhazia and the North Caucasus republics of Russia, the preservation of national and cultural identity of the peoples of the Caucasus.
 
"Abkhazia - the cradle of the Caucasian civilization, and there must necessarily remain Cross Caucasus culture", - said Aliy Totorkulov.
 
Raul Khajimba said that the strengthening of economic, humanitarian and cultural relations with the fraternal peoples of the North Caucasus is one of the priorities of the government. He noted the great contribution of the North Caucasus volunteers to the victory of the people of Abkhazia in the war of 1992-1993.
 
The meeting was also attended by Vice-President Vitaly Gabniya and Adviser to the President on Economic Affairs Amiran Lagvilava.
 
RKNK was created in March 2007 to facilitate the normalization and development of inter-ethnic dialogue, the public representative of the Caucasian peoples, bringing together the public and government agencies on the integration of the Caucasus and the constructive use of their potential in Russia.
