Raul Khadjimba: the right of peoples to self-determination should not be limited by specific subjects of international law

President of Abkhazia Raul Khadjimba received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaliy Ignatiev.

Sukhum. October 25. Apsnypress. Dmitry Basariya. President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khadjimba received the delegation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, headed by Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev.
 
 Welcoming the guests, Raul Khadjimba said: "The relationships that have developed between Abkhazia and Transnistria can serve as an example for many countries. Pressure from the individual states only strengthens our friendship and gives confidence in the correctness of the path. The right of peoples to self-determination should not be limited by specific subjects of international law".
 
 For his part, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaliy Ignatiev informed about the purpose of his visit: "The aim of our visit is the creation of more legal framework to better safeguard the rights and interests of our citizens. To achieve this goal, we have signed two intergovernmental agreements. I think that a strategic relationship between the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and Abkhazia will be filled with practical content. Despite the difficulties, the goals and objectives that we set for ourselves, will necessarily be implemented, since the will of the people can not be stopped by any artificial influence".
 
During the meeting, Vitaliy Ignatiev on behalf of the President of the PMR Yevgeny Shevchuk handed over to the President of Abkhazia Raul Khadjimba state award of PMR  - Order of Friendship, "for special merits in strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries".
