Raul Khadjimba: those who walked shoulder to shoulder with us through the war, should be near in the construction of peace

Sukhum. October 26. Apsnypress. Irena Jopua. At the meeting with the volunteers Raul Khadjimba said that the peoples of the North Caucasus are brothers to our people and relationship with them should be cherished.

"We all have done a lot during the war, we are proud of our relationship and have the pride to future generations. No one has the right to take a different attitude to our brothers from the North Caucasus, to our brothers scattered throughout the world. I would like to have an understanding in society, those who were shoulder to shoulder in the war, they should be with us in the construction of peace", - he said.

At the same time, he noted that for the country's leadership it is very important to develop and deepen relations with the republics of the North Caucasus: " We need to continue the relationship that allowed in the hardest times to get support, brother's shoulder, allowed to stand, keep the state and Abkhazian people".

In addition, the President said: "We are all concerned about what is happening in Abkhazia today. But it does not mean that one can make a difference and send our work to a different direction. There are certain moments that cause ambiguous attitude to what is happening. There are statements that are not quite look as befits. As a head of state, and those who are close to us, we will do everything to ensure the country to be held. This is a difficult process! It is not easy to introduce unpopular measures, which are not always understood. But there is no other option if we are about to take place and to call ourselves as a state". 

In turn, chairman of the Union of Veterans of KCR Abu Yusuf Banov thanked the President for the meeting and said that volunteers from different republics of the North Caucasus have a common position.

"We are well aware that the statements of one person, is not a position of the people of Abkhazia. And we all have a common position. The word volunteer is sacred, it has no nationality for us. The guys who came to Abkhazia from Karachayevo-Cherkessia, in the first place went to the beautiful commander Mohammed Sitbeevich. This is a man who is highly respected in his homeland and abroad. We are proud of them, as well as Andzor Goov. These people are our pride!" - Banov said.

At the same time Secretary of the Security Council, Mohamed Kilba noted that the past year was difficult for many of the criteria and directions: "In spite of this, the government, represented by the President,  found time to travel to the North Caucasus republics to build relationships, that really should be, but which were suspended, for reasons". He also stressed:" those excesses,  that are taking place here, in Abkhazia, of course,  are of concern within society. But no less painful it is perceived abroad. And today, the Almighty saved us from unnecessary actions. Most of the people got responsible attitude to this situation, and we have passed this milestone. We must draw the appropriate conclusions. We will be able to survive and move on. We will always feel your shoulder, your presence,. It was difficult in the war, it is not easier to build the peace, but we do not allow ourselves to give up", - Kilba said.
