Raul Khadjimba: today we celebrate the 90th anniversary of the oldest scientific institution in the country

Sukhum. October 15. Apsnypress. Lana Tsvizhba. The meeting was attended by RA President Raul Khadjimba, First Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Adzynba, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Parliament Valery Bganba, Head of Sukhum Administration Adgur Kharazia, MPs, scientists.
 
Congratulating the staff of the Abkhazian Institute of Humanitarian Studies, Raul Khadjimba said: "Today, we are celebrating the 90th anniversary of the country's oldest scientific institution, whose activities are closely connected with the history of our people, their struggle for their inalienable rights and the emergence of the statehood of Abkhazia".
 
According to him, this is the only institution in the world, the profile of which is the study of culture, language and ethnogenesis of the Abkhaz people. The Institute has the most important task of creating a science-based framework for the preservation and development of the identity of our people and the multiplication of its rich, historic and cultural heritage.
 
"90 years - is a solid date. We are proud that we are called the leading institution for Abkhazian", - noted historian Soslan Salakaya.
