Raul Khadjimba: we have done everything to relieve the tension in the society
RA President Raul Khadjimba appealed to people who had gathered for a rally in support of the current government.

Sukhum. July 6. Apsnypress. RA President Raul Khadjimba said: "It is a very serious situation, we will have to align it for many days!'

The Head of State gave an assessment of the political situation: "We were perceived as a state, as a country, which began to build its own capacity. We proved to ourselves that we have the resources and can live on our own and expenses. But there are people who do not like it. They want the old order! And this position will be given an adequate assessment. There is a category of people who have forgotten that there was a war.

But we have done everything to relieve the tension in the society".

The President voiced his stance on the referendum: "A lot of people have been waiting, those who are here now, and those who are in opposition - that President would not sign the decree to hold a referendum. Maybe it was right. But we went in the way, which was the most faithful. I am convinced that there are those who declared very firmly the need for a referendum, and, nevertheless, they don't need  the referendum. It is clear, based on what was done by the representatives of the initiative group".

Khadjimba explained the situation with the lists of the voters: "I am always try blamed with the fact that I gave the lists of signatures to the districts. I can prove all of these lists are in my safe, and no one has seen them. The first time I showed them was yesterday to the members of the opposition who had come to me. We need to demand ourselves in the first place! Because, unfortunately,  everything is prepared not in the best way".

President stressed that the decision on the referendum was made to bring people together, to create the conditions for a valid decision on the future powers of the head of state.

Khadjimba spoke on the demands of the opposition: "Now they raise the question of whether to cancel the referendum. There will be a referendum! And if our people will make a decision on the resignation of Khadjimba, I will accept it. But if this does not happen, I will fight to the end with all the negative aspects, which are in the state. And I am not scared!"
