Raul Khadjimba: we should be able to talk to each other
RA President Raul Khadjimba discussed a number of topical issues of social, economic and political situation in the country with members of the Public Chamber.

Sukhum. June 17. Apsnypress. Elena Poluyan. Public Chamber Secretary Natella Akaba identified the topic of discussion - PC's initiatives in the areas of economic and tourist resort development.

Opening the meeting, RA President Raul Khadjimba said: "According to the situation, emerging in the country ... Yes, there are some difficulties, problems, but I hope that all the issues will be resolved in a civilized manner. The situation is not so disastrous, to lose the control and management of the country!"

The President said: "The decision on a referendum has been made. Of course, from the point of view of the law, there are certain flaws in its organization. But the referendum is appointed, so people can not say that the government is trying to play on their feelings and creates certain obstacles. The decision will be taken by a majority of the population of our country. I think the country should develop, no matter who leads the state. Not everyone likes everything, but we must be able to talk to each other. And then there will be an opportunity to build a society for which our heroes died!"

At the meeting, Zaur Shalashaa on behalf of the Public Chamber Commission on the development of economy and business put forward a series of tax reform initiatives. In particular, he noted that "methodologically speaking only about the reform of the VAT tax is not right". We need a search for the optimal tax system as a whole. Thus Zaur Shalashaa proposed to start with the reform of the taxation of individuals and relate it to the cost of living in the country. In addition, in his opinion, it is necessary to reorganize the activities of extra-budgetary funds, which largely duplicate the functions of each other, at the same time, leaving a significant portion of the poor behind regulation of social policy. Shalashaa also raised the issue of state regulation of pricing of socially important products, monitoring the activities of the supervisory organizations and bodies of the traffic police in the area of customs and border clearance.

Summing up the discussion on the topic, Zaur Shalashaa conveyed to the President a document with all the Commission's proposals to reform the tax system.

Talking about the development of tourist and resort areas Khadjimba started with another question: "We always say that the resort areas - the locomotive of our economy. But the most serious problem that must be addressed urgently - is energy. If to do nothing for another few years, we will not have the power as the industry! There will be just an old line circuit and, eventually, we will have to ask Russia's permission to get electricity. Buy it and pay not 40 cents, as before, but 3 rubles per kilowatt. "

And then the head of state went on about the problems of tourism and resort: "In recent years, the number of new resort facilities has increased, particularly in the private sector. But there are no rules of their construction respected. Before starting construction, there should be properly worked out and decorated project estimate documents addressed issues of water supply, power supply, fire safety, sanitation. None of this has not been done in recent years!"

In addition, President Raul Khadjimba at a meeting with the Public Chamber, said that the question of renaming Ochamchyra in Achamchyra is removed.

"Yesterday, we already talked about this situation. This question is removed. It's not about that we want or do not want. There are also certain financial expenses", - he said.

Also at the meeting they discussed issues of children's activities, issues of investment, the processing of municipal solid waste, the development of the construction industry.
