Raul Khajimba expressed his condolences to Vladimir Putin in connection with the death of Vitaly Churkin

"Vitaly Ivanovich repeatedly advocated  to the entire world community a fair point of view of Russia on the inalienable right of the people of Abkhazia on independent development", - said the President of Abkhazia.

Sukhum. February 21. Apsnypress. President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba sent a telegram to Russian President Vladimir Putin in connection with the death of the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Vitaly Churkin. The official website of the President reported.
 
 The telegram reads:
 
 "The Republic of Abkhazia with deep sorrow accepted the news of the death of the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Vitaly Churkin.
 
 His sudden departure from life is a great loss not only for Russia, but for the whole world diplomacy. Vitaly Ivanovich was an outstanding politician, able to assess the situation well and had the rare gift of finding common ground with people of opposing views, principles and beliefs. His name is associated with the development of multilateral cooperation, strengthening stability and security in the world.
 
 It is difficult to overestimate the contribution of Vitaly Ivanovich in building peaceful relations with the major powers on the basis of mutual respect of interests, equality, transparency and non-interference. Vitaly Ivanovich repeatedly advocated to the entire world community a fair point of view of Russia on the inalienable right of the people of Abkhazia on independent development, unleashing a bloody conflict in Syria and in Donbass, the voice subjected to aggression from Georgia, South Ossetia, as well as other topical issues of modernity.
