Raul Khajimba held a meeting with activists of Gal district

As part of the trip to Gal district, President held a meeting with activists and inspected the district hospital.

Gal. January 23. Apsnypress. President of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba held a meeting with activists of Gal district.

 The head of state stressed that the Gal District is ahead of the rest of the republic to collect payments for electricity consumption and land tax. And also, noted the improvement of law and order in the district. "It is important for us to know about the problems that concern the residents of the district. This does not mean that we can solve all problems overnight. Yes, there are problems, no one denies. Nevertheless, the country is gradually moving to use its own budgetary opportunities. They are still small, but their growth indicates a change in the situation for the better, "- President said.
  
 For his part, head of the Bargap village administration Vazha Salakaya also reported on the improvement of the crime situation and cited the figures. So, according to him, if 21 people were kidnapped in the period from 2010 to 2014, and the amount of ransom for people amounted to 3 million rubles, then for the last 3 years there are no abductions. "As a result of joint actions of the district administration and security agencies, the situation in the region is calm. In the rest - it all depends on us, on our work, "- said Salakaya.
  
 Deputy Prime Minister Aslan Kobakhiya spoke about the work done in the sphere of law enforcement: "So-called criminal groups were withdrawn from the Gal district which prevented the population from living peacefully."
  
 Kobakhiya explained the situation regarding the passportization of the citizens of Abkhazia: "Let's speak frankly, the legislation of the Republic of Abkhazia clearly states that only citizens of Abkhazia who have Russian citizenship are allowed to have dual citizenship. Abkhazia is an independent country for 25 years, and this country has its own laws. There are residents who are really citizens of Abkhazia in Gal district . But for those who accepted Georgian citizenship, the return to Abkhaz citizenship is a long way. During these 3 years, the country's leadership is doing everything possible to make residents of Gal district free to make their choice. Therefore, at the moment there is stability in the district." 
 
In addition, as part of a working visit to Gal district, Raul Khajimba inspected the district hospital, where President was shown the place of construction of the cabinet of magnetic resonance imaging. The corresponding apparatus has already been purchased and putting it into operation will allow to reduce the number of trips abroad for a survey.
