Raul Khajimba: our relations should be used in a way to change the situation for the better

The Administration of President of Abkhazia held an Abkhaz-Adyghe meeting of the highest level.

Sukhum. July 21. Apsnypress. The Administration of President of the Republic of Abkhazia, held a meeting in the enlarged composition of President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba and Head of the Republic of Adygea Murat Kumpilov.

 Welcoming the delegation of Adygea Raul Khajimba said: "We are happy to see our brothers. We are closely interrelated since ancient times. Adygea was one of the first to stand next to us in the most difficult times for Abkhazia. Our brothers Adygs together with us liberated the Abkhazian land. Our people will not forget this. We honor this memory very highly. But the war has passed, and we need to think about the things we need for our people. Relations between Abkhazia and Adygea have been developed since the stage of formation of the modern Abkhazian state, when Adygeya was headed by a dear person Aslan Dzharimov, close person for the First President of Abkhazia. Much was done in order to preserve this country by joint efforts. It is also important to note the following leaders - Khazret Sovmen, Aslan Kitovich, with whom we have very warm relations, and today's leadership of Adygea.

 We said that we need to actively develop relations, especially in the areas of economy, culture, health. I hope that this will not remain in words. This is an important matter for us and for Adygea itself. There is a field of activity for representatives of the people who are elected to the legislative bodies of Abkhazia and Adygea. Undoubtedly, all these links should be used to ensure the situation in Abkhazia, and in Adygea to be changed for the better. The latest events that were taking place in Russia once again demonstrated the strength of the Russian state, the unity of the people. This is the World Cup, which was held at the highest level. I think that Russia still has opportunities to make the world community understand how to be friends and cooperate with Russia. We must do everything to make relations between our fraternal peoples even stronger, gaining more and more importance for our peoples. «

Murat Kumpilov thanked President of Abkhazia for the warm welcome and noted that the visit was not chosen by chance. "We have specially chosen the time before a large number of guests come to you for the anniversary, so that the delegation of the Republic of Adygea could visit the Republic of Abkhazia separately," said Kumpilov.

 Head of Adygea stressed: "We believe that Abkhazia is a brotherly republic. Many families support personal relationships with families in the Republic of Abkhazia. Of course, this brings us very close. I am very pleased with our meeting, I am happy to discuss the issues of bilateral cooperation in the fields of today's event. It is a good opportunity to exchange opinions on many pressing issues. Our republics have a long-standing relationship. The Adygs and Abkhazians have strong fraternal ties, which showed themselves vividly at the turning point in the history of the Republic of Abkhazia in 1992. With their Abkhaz brothers who sought independence for their native land, volunteers from the Republic of Adygea rose up next to each other. Not all of them returned. But I am sure that their names will be remembered in Abkhazia, as we remember them in Adygea. Among them, the heroes of Abkhazia, posthumously awarded the Order of Leon, Murat Shovgenov and other heroes of the War of people of Abkhazia. We are honored for their contribution to establishment of the modern Abkhaz state, these heroes from Adygea were awarded with high state awards of the Republic of Abkhazia. Those events strengthened our republics even more tightly, and Russia's recognition of the independence of the Republic of Abkhazia gave a new impetus to development of our cooperation at the state level. Already now we can say that our relations are developing successfully. I think our regular contacts play a big role here. We are reliable friends, we emphasize, brothers and partners in various fields of activity. We see good results of joint work, which is developing including within the framework of the signed agreements. Our educational scientific institutions closely cooperate in the training of highly qualified personnel, the implementation of research programs and projects. So, in June the Adyghe Scientific Research Institute, together with your research institution, held events related to history and everyday life of our peoples. There has been launched a joint work in the line of culture to preserve the historical and cultural heritage, ensure the continuity of national traditions, and develop cultural innovations. We already have sharing experience in the field of medical services. Medics of Adygea are ready to help their colleagues from Abkhazia. In recent years, we have begun to provide high-tech medical assistance on the territory of the republic. I am sure there are other areas in the healthcare field in which we can cooperate. We are developing our medical college and institute. 12 representatives of Abkhazia study at the medical faculty. We have successes in the economic sphere. Abkhazia is one of the trade partners of the republic. Last year, the share of our trade with Abkhazia was 5.5%. We are glad that we achieve results in every sphere in which we cooperate. I want to emphasize that our republic is aimed at further strengthening business and cultural ties with the Republic of Abkhazia. «

 At the extended meeting, Murat Kumpilov presented Raul Khajimba the highest award of the Republic of Adygea - Medal "Glory of Adygea". The Abkhaz side included Vice-President Vitaliy Gabniya, Parliamentary Speaker Valeriy Kvarchia, Prime Minister Gennady Gagulia, Head of the Presidential Administration Beslan Bartsits, Minister of Health Tamaz Tsakhnakia, Minister of Culture and Heritage Protection Elvira Arsalia, Minister of Education and Science Adgur Kakoba.
