Raul Khajimba: we will make every effort to preserve the memory of Iskander for future generations

President of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba received representatives of the International Cultural Foundation of Iskander "Human Site".

President of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba discussed  commemorative issues of Fazil Abdulovich at a meeting with representatives of the International Cultural Fund of Iskander "Human site", the Minister of Culture and Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of the RA Elvira Arsaliya and Fazil Iskander's son  Alexander Iskander.
 
 Raul Khajimba, said: "We will make every effort to preserve the memory of Fazil Iskander for future generations. Creativity of Fazil Abdulovich is property not only of the Abkhaz people, but of all mankind. In collaboration with the International Cultural Fund of Iskander "human site" we need to make the memory of Fazil alived. The interest in this person will never be lost, and the state will contribute to this".
 
 For his part, director of the International Cultural Fund of Iskander "human site" Shazina Agrba stressed: "Our goal is to make every effort to pass the memory of Iskander from generation to generation. Today's meeting is of business nature".
 
Elvira Arsaliya said that already decided to organize a public presentation of the Fund's activities. "It is important to involve not only the Ministry of Culture, as the offers of the Fund has come out of our control. There are initiatives in tourism, education, and other creative proposals ", - said Arsaliya.
 
 Alexander Iskander also expressed gratitude for the development of activities to perpetuate the memory of his father. "This will benefit the people, because we live in a difficult world of materialism, and my father's works allows us to escape from this" - he said.
 
RA President's Advisor for Science, Culture and Education, Vladimir Zantariya noted readiness to assist in efforts to perpetuate the memory of Iskander. "To be honest, very few of Iskander's books have been published in our country during the life of Fazil Abdulovich. This gap should be filled. We decided to publish three volumes of books of Iskander. And one of the volume will consist of his works translated into the Abkhaz language. Shamil Akusba translated works of Iskander. In addition, it planned to build a monument to Fazil Iskander. Many sculptors tend to install a monument in his favorite places. For example, in "Brekhalovka" area. However, we need your help to determine the place of the monument," - said Zantariya.
