Representatives of the Abkhaz diaspora in Turkey will take part in the Festival of culture of the peoples of the North Caucasus in Kocaeli

The festival will be opened on May 20 with a presentation of a variety of dance and musical groups of Caucasian diaspora in Turkey.

Sukhum. May 11. Apsnypress. Dmitry Basariya. According to Inar Gitsba, the Festival aims to present the culture of the Caucasian peoples to general Turkish public.
 
 "At the same time, we plan to make the most of the festival opportunities to promote a positive image of Abkhazia. It is noteworthy that it is organized for the first time with the joint participation of the Abkhaz and Caucasian cultural centers. It should also be noted that Kocaeli city administration has supported the organization of the Festival", - said Gitsba. 
 
  The Festival of culture of the peoples of North Caucasus will be opened on May 20 with a presentation of a variety of dance and musical groups of Caucasian diaspora in Turkey. The event program also provides an exhibition of folk art, cuisine, tourist boards. The event will last until May 23rd. Part of the festival will be mourning and commemorative events to mark the date of May 21, (in memory of the end of the Caucasian War), which will be held in Kefkene.
 
 According to Inar Gitsba, among the guests of the event - the mayor and heads of administrative centers of Kocaeli - Körfez, Gebze, Izmit.
 
The festival is organized by the Delegation of the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia on trade and economic relations under the Plenipotentiary Representation of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Republic of Turkey, in cooperation with the Abkhaz cultural center in Kocaeli, and Caucasian cultural centers of Körfez and Gebze.
