Representatives of the business community of Abkhazia and Adygea met at the Chamber of Commerce

The CCI of Abkhazia held a round table “Development of bilateral economic cooperation between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of Adygea” .

Sukhum. March 5. Apsnypress. Representatives of the business community of Abkhazia and Adygea discussed “Development of bilateral economic cooperation between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of Adygea” held in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Abkhazia.

President of the CCI of the Republic of Abkhazia Tamila Mertskhulava opened the meeting: “Today we receive a delegation of entrepreneurs not just from a republic geographically close to us, but first of all from fraternal Adygea. We are closely and long interconnected, our meetings at different levels are regular, ”she said.

Tamila Mertskhulava emphasized the importance of cooperation between the CCI of Adygea and Abkhazia: “It is necessary to continue active cooperation in the field of health and education, culture and sports, and pay special attention to the economy. Our main task is to promote the development of entrepreneurship. Providing the site to our entrepreneurs is not only helping to find new partners, but, first of all, the opportunity to voice proposals for cooperation on a long-term basis. ”

President of the CCI of Abkhazia cited statistics: “Compared to 2018, in 2019 the trade turnover between the republics increased by 8% and amounted to almost $ 5 million.”

For his part, head of the delegation of Adygea, general director of export-import and consulting company, Rashid Zafesov, thanked Tamila Mertskhulava for the kind words: “We know that trade exists, but it needs to be increased, and we have something to offer. “We want economic relations between our countries to develop, since the economy is at the head of all social and scientific aspects.” Taking the opportunity, Rashid Zafesov invited the entrepreneurs of Abkhazia and the leadership of the CCI of RA to Adygea.

At the meeting, all members of the Adygea delegation were given the opportunity to talk about their companies. Representatives of the business community expressed a great desire to work with Abkhazia and noted the importance of the ports of Abkhazia - one of the logistics routes that must be used.
Summing up the meeting, Rashid Zafesov noted: “We see how Abkhazia is developing and we want to come next time in an expanded format. We hope that this visit will end with a signing of protocols of intent to create joint projects. ”

At the same time, head of Department of External Relations and Investments of the CCI of Abkhazia, Kama Tsvizhba, confirmed that the CCI will contribute to increase export-import operations and commodity circulation of Abkhazia and Adygea.

 As part of the visit, delegation from Adygea has already held 8 meetings with Abkhaz entrepreneurs interested in cooperation.
