Representatives of the parliamentary Committee consider it possible to support the candidacy of Zurab Agumaa to the post of chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Abkhazia

During the meeting, they discussed several issues: Constitutional Law of the Republic of Abkhazia on the amendment to the Constitution of the Republic of Abkhazia "On the quantitative composition of the People's Assembly of the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia", ​​the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Abkhazia "On local self-government and administration in the Republic of Abkhazia", ​​the draft Law of the Republic of Abkhazia " On the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Abkhazia ", the draft Law of the Republic of Abkhazia" On amendments to some legislative acts of the Republic of Abkhazia in connection with the introduction of the Human Rights Ombudsman in the Republic of Abkhazia ", the draft Law of the Republic of Abkhazia" On the procedure of state registration of vehicles " as well as a draft resolution of the People's Assembly of the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia on election of a candidate for the post of chairman of the Supreme Court and a judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Abkhazia. 

The meeting was chaired by the Committee chairman Valery Agrba. It was attended by: Valery Bganba - Speaker, MPs, as well as the representative of the President in the Parliament Dmitry Shamba, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Beslan Khagba, Commissioner for Human Rights under President Georgiy Otyrba and other invited guests. 

As a result of long and detailed discussion of these issues, the Committee decided to propose to the Parliament at the next meeting of the session adopt in the first reading the draft constitutional law on the amendments to the Constitution of the Republic, and to consider in the second reading the draft laws "On the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Abkhazia", "On amendments to some legislative acts of the Republic of Abkhazia in connection with the introduction of the Human Rights Ombudsman in the Republic of Abkhazia". Also, members of the Committee consider it possible to support the proposal of the President to elect for the position of chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Abkhazia Zurab Agumaa and a judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Abkhazia - Oksana Piliya. 

The Committee agreed that further improvements after the draft Law of the Republic of Abkhazia "On the procedure of state registration of vehicles" may be submitted to a future meeting session, the press secretary of the People's Assembly.
