Shamil Adzynba met with George Drndarski

First Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Adzynba received the head of the ICRC mission in Abkhazia George Drndarski, who has completed his work in the republic.

"You did everything not formally, dry and by protocol, your work was presented by the human factor and you are never sacrificed the interests of the mission, you represent. I am convinced that your approach has led to such good results", - said Adzynba. He noted that over the period of Drndarski as head of the mission, there has appeared a new line of work together with the Government of Abkhazia - Coordinating Mechanism on Missing Persons. 

In turn, George Drndarski thanked the Government of Abkhazia for help and support, and said, that with his departure the program to find missing is not ended. "The ICRC will continue to cooperate with the Abkhaz authorities in the identification of missing persons. We need to bring this matter to an end. Those successes that we had shows how important this work is, and we will provide this assistance to the remaining families ", - said Drndarski.

Shamil Adzynba handed the head of the ICRC mission a letter of thanks on behalf of the government of Abkhazia.
