The first phase of work on the certification is completed and the second phase of the creation of a new electronic system for issuing passports is preparing. From October 20, electronic equipment will flow to Abkhazia, said at a meeting with journalists, First Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Adzynba.
"The first phase of our print work is completed. I want to thank everyone for their work. The product turned out of a high-quality, secure. We are embarking on the creation of a new electronic system for issuing passports. Soon there will be a pilot project, for which refurbished four passport office and PVA. On other sites, and we have thirteen in the country, there is a preparation, cosmetic repairs, customizable online", - said Deputy Prime Minister.
He also said that the cost of replacing passports amounted to more than 95 million rubles.
"Such costs would not be if the passports were not given to everyone, and if it had not been compromised national security. These are direct losses. Who will be responsible for them, and who is to blame for this question will solve the General Prosecutor's Office. We plan to send a letter with costs in the near future", - Adzynba stressed.
Also it was announced the cost of a new passport. The price of the document has been raised to 40 rubles in comparison with the previous passport, which costs 380 rubles, and taking into account the state fee will not exceed the sum of 450 rubles. The residence permit, in turn, will cost twice times much - 940 rubles.
