Sukhum. April 14. Apsnypress. Pension arrangements between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Russian Federation were signed by the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation Maxim Topilin and Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security Suren Kerselyan in Sochi.
According to the pension arrangements of Russian citizens residing in Abkhazia, the total amount of pensions of citizens to be compared with an average level of pensions in the Southern Federal District of Russia, which is a little more than ten thousand. Thus, the Abkhazian pensioners expect the significant increase, given that the average pension today is six thousand rubles. As for the number of Russian citizens of the retirement age, living in Abkhazia, it reaches more than thirty thousand people.
As previously reported, "Apsnypress", the agreement was concluded in order to implement the agreement between Abkhazia and Russia on the alliance and strategic partnership, signed by the President of Abkhazia Raul Khadjimba and Russian President Vladimir Putin on November 24, 2014.
