Solid waste management issues discussed at a meeting in the Cabinet of Ministers

Valery Bganba held a meeting on solid waste management.

 Sukhum. 13 November. Apsnypress. Prime Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia Valery Bganba at a meeting with heads of interested departments discussed issues of solid waste management.
 
 According to the report, the meeting participants also discussed the possibility of organizing a waste sorting and processing enterprise in Sukhum.
 
 At the same time, Head of Government noted that the construction of a new landfill will not solve all the tasks and pointed out the need to organize sorting of waste depending on the component origin for further pressing and processing on specialized equipment.
 
 “The correct distribution of garbage brought to landfills can prevent most of the environmental problems, facilitate the compaction and recycling of waste," said Valery Bganba.
 
 Following the meeting, participants must submit to the Cabinet of Ministers their proposals on the development of a concept for establishment of a sorting and waste processing complex at the TBO landfill, including proposals on its territorial location.
