July 3 - is the day of liberation of Minsk from fascist invaders in 1944, it is the day when Belarus celebrates Independence Day - the main state holiday.
Sukhum. July 3. Apsnypress. Speaker of the People's Assembly of the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia Valery Bganba on behalf of his colleagues addressed congratulations to the President of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko and the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich.
The letter reads in part:
"Demonstrating its achievements in various fields, the sovereign Belarus is an example of sustained social and economic development, internal stability, solid defending their interests on the international arena.
Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus is celebrated on the day of the liberation of its capital - the city of Minsk from the Nazi invaders. Therefore, expressing the most sincere feelings of all citizens of your country, we want to emphasize the importance of this day for the Belarusian people, with heavy losses which brings our common victory in the Great Patriotic War.
" In his letter Valery Bganba expressed hope for development of cooperation of the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia with the Belarusian colleagues on grounds of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia as well as in other formats.
Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia wished the heads of chambers of the National Assembly success in solving public problems, and the Belarusian people - peace and happiness.
