On September 20th South Ossetian people celebrates the Independence Day of the Republic of South Ossetia.
Sukhum. September 18. Apsnypress. On the eve of the historic date of 25th anniversary of the Republic of South Ossetia, Speaker Valery Bganba, on behalf of the National Assembly of the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia congratulated the Parliament and the people of the Republic of South Ossetia on the national holiday.
His letter to the President of the Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov, says in particular:
Twenty-five years ago, the Council of People's Deputies of the South Ossetian Autonomous Region adopted a historic political and legal act of proclaiming a sovereign republic.
On the way of gaining freedom and the formation of the modern state of selfless South Ossetian people overcame many hardships and was able to realize their inalienable right to self-determination.
Today the Republic of South Ossetia is an independent, internationally recognized state, which demonstrates the success of its progressive development, the pursuit of peace and creation.
Republic of South Ossetia is a country with which the Republic of Abkhazia linked by common history and traditions of friendship. In a relatively short period of time our parliaments laid the foundation for cooperation. I am confident that it will continue to develop fruitfully for the common good.
Valery Bganba wished Anatoly Bibilov and the people of the Republic of South Ossetia, happiness, lasting peace and new achievements in the construction of the state!
