Statement of the Parliament of Abkhazia

The People's Assembly - the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia adopted a statement in connection with the latest resonant crimes.

Sukhum. June 19. Apsnypress. The statement says, in particular:
 
 "The prosecutor's office of Sukhum district initiated criminal proceedings against Japua Astamur Severyanovich, 1981, suspected of rape committed with the threat of murder of 13-year-old girl Jgamazia L.R., which took place on June 13, 2017 in Nizhniyaya Eshera village and Dzhgamaziya Robert Guliyevich , 1973, suspected of the murder of her elder sister, his daughter Dzhgamaziya A.R., committed on June 17, 2017 in Baslat village.
 
 Japua A.S. surrendered to the employees of the State Security Service on June 17, 2017, R.G. Ggamaziya disappeared.
 
 These grave crimes have caused a fair wide response in public circles, social networks and the media.
 
 The People's Assembly - the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia also resolutely condemns the vile crimes committed and will take all necessary measures within the framework of the existing legislative and monitoring powers for the purpose of full and comprehensive investigation of two related criminal cases.
 
The Committee of the People's Assembly - the Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia on Defense and National Security is charged to monitor the investigation of these criminal cases and regularly inform the Parliament and the public of the country".
