Sukhum became a member of the World Organization "United Cities and Local Authorities"

This was announced at the briefing by deputy head of the Administration of Sukhum Leon Kvarchia.

Sukhum. August 18. Apsnypress. Dmitry Basariya. A briefing was held at Sukhum Administration where Deputy Head of the Administration Leon Kvarchia told journalists about Sukhum's accession to the World Organization "United Cities and Local Authorities".

  Leon Kvarchia said: "This organization has 7 regional offices around the world. We entered the Eurasian regional office headed by the mayor of Kazan, the capital of the friendly Republic of Tatarstan.  We became aware of the existence of this organization in 2016, during the visit of the board meeting of the International Association of Capitals and large cities in Ufa. This organization is a very representative platform for the integration of our Republic into the world community. Participation in it will give Sukhum the opportunity to gain access to international experience in providing public services, urban transport, urban development, ecology and security, as well as presenting its economic and sociocultural potential."

  According to Kvarchia, at the moment the Administration of Sukhum coordinates the Action Plan for interaction with this organization.
